David Snyder, born October 20, 1965, has, for the most part, called East Tennessee home for his entire life. Residing in Dunlap, Pastor David was raised in a Pastor's home himself, so he was no stranger to the ministry at an early age. At the age of 21, while living in Sylva, NC, Pastor David received the call to preach, which he soon answered by moving back to East Tennessee and assuming the pastorate at the Silverpoint Church of God in Baxter, TN. Before coming to Dante in the Spring of 2003, Pastor David gained much experience at 4 different churches as Senior Pastor. At each church, the Lord blessed Pastor David's ministry and the church saw tremendous growth; doubling and sometimes tripling the congregation in very short amounts of time. It was when coming to Dante, however, that Pastor David's ministry really hit its stride. Now in his 12th year of ministry here, God is blessing the congregation of Dante through Pastor David's leadership as he endeavors to constantly stay in the perfect will of God, reaching the lost of the Knoxville area.
Pastor Snyder has been married to his sweet wife Brenda for 10 years and he has two beautiful daughters. Krissy, his eldest, is married to John Bevil and they have 3 boys, Christopher, Drew and Kameron. Becca is married to Josh Ferguson and they have two children Brock & Marlee. They all reside in Knoxville, TN.
On behalf of my wife Brenda and I, we say "Thank you," for visiting The Dante Church of God website. Since assuming the role of Senior Pastor here 12 years ago, I have witnessed the hand of God do miraculous things. We have experienced tremendous growth and want nothing more than to serve the Kingdom in these last days. We love to worship, we love to hear the Word of God preached with authority and we love to fellowship. Another thing we love, is meeting new people and that means you. We hope that at some point in the near future you will make time to visit one of our "one-of-a-kind" services. No matter what your gifting is, there is a place for you at Dante and we want to help you facilitate the call of God in your life. May God richly bless you and we look forward to meeting you soon!
